Saginaw Lands Nearly $1.8 Million in State Grant for Demolition

The city of Saginaw, in cooperation with the Saginaw Downtown Development Authority and the Saginaw County Land Bank, applied for nearly $8 million, about half what was requested, in a Blight Elimination Grant from Michigan State Housing Development Authority.


The grant is geared towards a demolition project that comprises four historic structures located downtown and ruined properties in a southeast Saginaw residential neighborhood.
