Newtown Receives $750,000 to Rebuild Post-Sandy Hook School

Newtown has received $750,000 state grant to pay for the costs of an overhaul and pre-construction services for a new Sandy Hook Elementary School.


The grant money is part of the $50 million in state bond funds projected to cover the costs of a new building that is supposedly to be on the property where the school is situated. Sandy Hook students are presently accommodated at a former middle school in Monroe.
