Longmeadow Qualifies for $155,000 Grant

Agency - Department of Energy Resources

Longmeadow, which was recently designated a Green Community, is now qualified for a $155,000 grant from the state Department of Energy Resources.


According to Town Manger Stephen Crane, there is an Energy Reduction Plan in place with several projects that could qualify for the grant. The funding is part of an effort for communities to develop a plan to reduce energy consumption and purchase fuel-efficient vehicles when possible.
