North Street Playground Receives $400,000 State Grant

The North Street Veterans Playground earned a $400,000 Parkland Acquisitions and Renovations for Communities state grant for recreational area restorations.


The grant was announced by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs and will help pay for the costs of playground features and equipment. The public park renovation will kick off in July.

The Republic of Rwanda has been picked as one of the six African countries as beneficiaries for a new fellowship fund program designed at supporting social entrepreneurs in tackling issues on food security.
