Carol Stream to Purchase Fourth House
The Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity has given a state grant to the Carol Stream in the amount of $304,851. The funds given will be used to purchase a fourth house in the flood-prone neighborhood south of Armstrong Park as part of a voluntary buyout program. Assuming the homeowner formally accepts the purchase offer, the village will then take ownership of the property and be responsible for demolition of the house.Read the Entire Article
