State Grant Awarded to Dawes Park

A state grant worth $400,000 was awarded to Dawes Park in Open Space Lands Acquisiton and Development Grants.


The grant will be used for improvements to the lagoon. Improvements include plumbing upgrades, reconstruction of the stone waterfall, replacement of pavement and lighting, and enhanced landscaping.


The renovation project is also funded in part by the Arrington Foundation.

The Republic of Rwanda has been picked as one of the six African countries as beneficiaries for a new fellowship fund program designed at supporting social entrepreneurs in tackling issues on food security.
