Atheist Faces a Set Back on his Appeal to Court

The 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago says Robert Sherman, an atheist, does not have legal standing to sue over a $20,000 state grant given last 2008 to improve the Bald Know Cross of Peace near Alto Pass.


The judge says that even if Sherman has a legal standing to sue, it is rather too late for him to appeal since the state has already disbursed the state grant and he does not have any legal rights to insist for the grant to be returned.
