Former Country Club Hills Police Chief to Plead Guilty on State Grant Fraud

Former Chicago police lieutenant and Country Club Hills chief, Regina Evans, is expected to plead guilty on state job-training grant fraud charges.


Ever since March, Evans has been in custody and authorities caught her trying to sweet-talk an associate into lying to the grand jury. The state grant, which Evans embezzled, came through to Evans' nonprofit organization "We Are Our Brothers Keeper" while she was police chief.
